Location: Slade, KY
Rock type: Sandstone
Number rainy days: I can't count that high
I love the rock climbing here at the Red River Gorge but this place is so wet that even the salamanders are heading for high ground. The rain for this month is 3 times higher than average. Luckily we bought a big blue tarp to throw over our camper which keep us dry but it feels like a sauna in the morning. Checking the weather online and is the pastime of most visiting climbers (closely followed by driving to 3 cliffs before realizing they're all wet).
We've joined forces with Team Canada the last couple weeks. These B.C. climbers give international flavor to our domestic trip. Melissa loves explaining to them how to construct that American delicacy, the s'more. She also now says "Eh" at the end of every sentence.

Hi A&M!
I hope you guys are staying dry. I'll send our dry vibes from CO. Sounds like you are enjoying yourselves and climbing strong! Keep it up and Enjoy. All of us here at the gym are hanging in here and wish we all had more time off. We enjoyed our last comp, day of the deadpoint, check out cool pictures http://www.thegymoftherockies.com/schedule/competition.htm. Melissa, the kids from advantage are doing well and some even competed in the comp and had a great time. From time to time some kids and parents ask how you are doing on your trip. Live it up and take care.
Enjoy the ride!
