Home Improvement Continues...

Here is the door knob on the outside.
Here is Adam working on the frame of the new fence.
Here is our pretty peach tree with some blossoms and the newly completed fence.

Home Improvements

Here is our new fence. Adam worked hard while I was in Bishop and put up the half you see on the left. I got home and we finished the half on the right.
Here is our new gate and arbor. Adam wanted to capture some Japanese influence.
He also worked hard to stain and seal our beautiful new front door. It is very warm and completely changes the house inside and out.
Here is the Arts and Crafts style door knob that we chose for our door. This is what it looks like on the inside. Posted by Picasa

Y Couloir - Little Cottonwood Canyon

3000 feet of kicking steps - what a great way to spend a lazy Saturday. The avy danger was super low so it was a perfect day to head up. If you click on the picture and look carefully you can see 2 skiers hiking up near the bottom of the couloir. Posted by Picasa

All good things...

...must come to Salt Lake City. We have been in a whirlwind of change. We climbed in Maple Canyon for a few weeks (actually only Melissa climbed so Adam could rehab a sore shoulder). We simultaneously climbed, looked for a new home, and sent out job resumes. Things were up in the air in a bad way for awhile...but everything is turning out well. We bought a place in SLC in the Sugarhouse neighborhood. We love it and are now remodeling it at a furious pace. Laid hardwood floors and painted the whole interior in one week. Adam has job offers from multiple companies and everything's looking positive. Climbing has taken a backseat for now. I guess after a year of climbing you should take a short break from it. We loved our trip and sad that it's over...but we're definitely ready to be back in a house. We'll keep the blog going. Expect pics of Adam working at a job and swinging a hammer at our new house.
